Blessing VBS

Prayer in unison:

Loving God, you have entrusted us with the message of your power, grace, justice, and love. We ask for your guidance, that we may be teachers and learners together. Believing that you are in our midst, we set apart our resources including those who serve in our Vacation Bible School.

Pastor:  Loving God we have asked that you bless the time, resources, and space we have set apart for VBS.

Now I ask you congregation, will you be faithful to our call?  Will you pray for VBS and study scripture daily as our young people study?

ALL: We will.

Pastor: Those who are working VBS will you prayerfully offer your time to learning with our children and seeking God?

VBS Volunteers: We will.

Pastor: Volunteers do you dedicate this time and energy to serving God?  Will you be prepared and faithful to God’s call?

VBS Volunteers: We will.

Pastor:  We have heard God’s call to offer Vacation Bible School as a church.
We teach, trusting in God’s support, sustaining grace and empowerment for this task.
We rely on prayer and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We are unified as a church family in this common goal held together by mutual love and support.
