Each rock represents someone who has died crossing the desert in Douglas county since 2011. |
Welcome to DCC! When we gather for worship we receive each other as part of God’s coming kingdom. This is the second Sunday of Lent, a season of preparation and deep contemplation, when we prepare for Jesus death and resurrection. Today we hear the stories our pastor brings back from her trip to the Arizona Border with Mexico.

*Call to Worship (Read Responsively) Pastor Susanna
(Based on Psalm 22)
One: You who fear the Lord, praise God! All you offspring of
Jacob, glorify God; stand in awe of God, all you offspring of Israel!
Many: For God did not despise us though we were afflicted;
God’s face was not hidden from us, When we cried God
heard it.
One: From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my
vows I will pay before those who fear God.
Many: The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek God
shall praise the Lord.
One: All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord;
Many: And all the families of the nations shall worship before God
